Arome Hôtel

Very quiet and comfortable room close to the seafront and city centre. There is a tram station nearby and plenty of buses if your feet get tired.

This is a small hotel, so things are a bit different (e.g., one of the employees' English was not good but luckily I speak some French so we managed fine). As others have pointed out, the breakfast that is included with the price is a croissant, and I was fine with that- but if someone expects a large buffet then it may not be ideal for them. I just wanted to state this to manage expectations. Having said that, for me the hotel was wonderful. I often sleep badly in hotels, because the beds tend to be so hard. But this bed was so comfortable! The rooms were clean, the staff very helpful, and the location was great too (just a few min from the beach and also not too far from public transportation). I enjoyed my stay and definitely recommend it.

Comfortable stay in a French apartment building. The best part of my stay here was engaging with the staff. They are always available to assist, staff is present in the front office round the clock, and very courteous. Location is good as it is just few steps from the Promenade, and about a 10-minute walk to Avenue Jean Medecin, Place Massena and the old town.

The hotel is in a historical building and has retained some of its original features, which is adorable. My room had everything I needed. I loved the coffee making facility and option of pods. I was also pleasantly surprised at the mini fridge to keep my own items in, e.g., yoghurt, sandwich ingredients. The location is conveniently close to the tram, buses, beach, supermarkets, cafes/restaurants and supermarkets as well as places of interest and parks. Further afield, a variety of options are available to add to your intinerary, if you don't mind the walk. Staff and cleaning staff were friendly and welcoming and at the ready to assist with queries.

Location was excellent, less than 5 minutes to the promenade and a wide variety of restaurants to suit all tastes. The room was clean and comfortable. Receiving free croissants every morning was a lovely touch, simple but made us feel very welcome. Fabio and the staff were superb, always attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Fabio deserves a special mention as he provided excellent tips on getting around, what to see, the public transport system and of course some fabulous local restaurants (eat at Bistro Dalpozzo, a Fabio recommendation, if you get a chance, we ate there on our 1st night and also on our last night).
